The Bear Hotel, privately owned & managed, was originally a 16th Century Coaching Inn. Its great character of a bygone age has been carefully preserved in providing the comforts of the twenty-first century. Oak beams & open fires create a warm and inviting atmosphere. There is even a friendly ghost, Jasper, in the illuminated cellar garden, an unusual and attractive feature. For a holiday, an overnight business stay or just attending a function, The Bear Hotel has something special to offer everyone.The hotel is open throughout the year & has ample parking for over 60 vehicles. The character restaurant is deceivingly large with nooks & crannies giving privacy for just two diners, or for accommodating much larger groups.
